about

Okay, so let's talk about alps for a minute.

In 2015 I made an album for hwl. records (currently Kyoudai Records) called alps as a nice little preview joint. I was splitting time between that and what eventually became flowers, with anything that didn't fit landing on sink. My plan was to offer what I had finished so far on alps for free and then maybe down the line release the ep on tape with a full big tracklist of fully finished songs.

As you can see three years later, that didn't quite pan out. No tape release, nor expanded tracklist. I had honestly forgotten until I was combing through an old instagram video of me testing recording the album on tape to get that sweet *warble* sound that I craved at the time. That contained one of the unreleased songs transitioning into "serenity", and I remembered, "oh yeah, *that's* what that album was supposed to sound like." A lot of the unfinished remnants got lost in a hard drive failure in 2015 and I thought for sure they were gone. Well, while plugging in old flash drives that I found in a pile under my bed, I happened to find several of the old songs that were to be on there, along with the prototype cassette cover sleeve.

Enjoy, and remember, anything could come soon!
