The first secondsun release in over two years, the longest down time I've ever had. A lot has happened since the last release: survived a pandemic, started dozens of projects that went nowhere, found the greatest friends in the world, had my heart broken, moved to entirely different city by myself, and now have an actual job that sucks my time away. But secondsun as a project was always on my mind. I struggled for a long time with feeling boxed in with my previous material and seeing how the scene had warped from the genuine spirit of the early 2010s SoundCloud days to the homogenized commerciality of today sucked my enthusiasm for it away. I almost retired the name entirely -- what I wanted to make wasn't "secondsun" music exactly, but I was already constrained to what I had started. But at some point, I felt a need to deliver to the same people who still listened, still held my music in their hearts, still occasionally sent heartfelt messages about how important my music was to them.

Spectrum might be a new beginning, or it might be the end. But at the very least, it's something genuine.

Treat people kindly, never give up. <3
